How many Mohamed’s are there in Egypt?

The title question regarding the number of Mohamed’s in Egypt, could be asked of several names of course. It just struck me that after just a couple of weeks in Egypt I had met at least 4 or 5. I asked one of the local tour leaders’ how many he knew. His response of 40 wasn’t really a shock. Having to remember each Mohameds’ fathers’ name for further identification might be difficult for people like me though. Not a good country to be bad with names that’s for sure!!

I know the entries further along this trip won’t have as many photos and stories, until then I may be able to compile my own entertaining travel novel!!
Upon my return from Jordan, I had just over one week in Cairo before heading out to the rest of Egypt. Looking forward to seeing a bit more, I bought a train ticket to Alexandria. The 3 hour journey north to the Mediterranean Sea was through many farmers fields and past a 101 donkeys. It got to a point where zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz crept in. Began dreaming of some swimming, some shopping, some exploring, and then I arrived.

Have landed in Cairo…

So here I am. No longer roaming through beautiful Canada. No longer working every waking moment through the entire UK. I AM IN CAIRO!!!
Arriving at the first stop in the big adventure was daunting, the fact that it was the middle of the night was a mere inconvenience. Looked for my pre-arranged driver named Ahmed that would hopefully be looking for me as well. Sounds easier than it really was. There must have been at least 10 other guys that grabbed my hand, “I have taxi for you” “No no Miss, not him, I have cheaper price for pretty lady” And then at the end of the line, there he was. Phew- task one is over with, now let’s get out of this airport!
