Choosing photos is the most difficult thing about blogging. I suppose I could just take less, but I don’t think that’s ‘gonna happen! Here’s a taster of what I’ve seen anyway…

Early early Monday morning I ran over to the travel agency to part with my hard earned cash in exchange for details of my flight and accomodation in Jordan. Then over to the coffee shop for a kickstart followed by Ahmed collecting me for the mad dash to the airport. When the speed of Ahmed’s car slowed and slowed I looked up from my ticket details with alarm. The traffic was at a standstill. Ssssssssoooooo, just slightly nervous but assured Ahmed’s choice of a second route would be quick.

So here I am. No longer roaming through beautiful Canada. No longer working every waking moment through the entire UK. I AM IN CAIRO!!!

Arriving at the first stop in the big adventure was daunting, the fact that it was the middle of the night was a mere inconvenience. Looked for my pre-arranged driver named Ahmed that would hopefully be looking for me as well. Sounds easier than it really was. There must have been at least 10 other guys that grabbed my hand, “I have taxi for you” “No no Miss, not him, I have cheaper price for pretty lady” And then at the end of the line, there he was. Phew- task one is over with, now let’s get out of this airport!

Okay, so there isn’t really anything more to explain as the briefing was in the previous entry! It was all taken on the trip home in the last few months. I just thought it would be a shame to miss some of the most beautiful sights of Vancouver Island and city. Enjoy!! I’m now prepping to load photos from the last few weeks in Egypt and Jordan, which have been amazing places to experience and photograph. And at least I’ll be able to show off a bit of a tan!!

So here goes…having postponed putting this site together for the last 5 months, I’ve finally got my act together. Ironically, I am no longer in Vancouver (sitting in a Cairo internet cafe) but it’s best to start this site properly, with the amazing couple of months that I spent at home. This was the first visit in 8 years to be more than 2 weeks, which meant a proper catch up with friends and family all over the place. But as I want to crack on to where I am now, I’ll try my best to keep this short and sweet!
